Norwich Theatre are hosting two placements under the Kickstart scheme.

Current eligibility criteria for Kickstart applicants:

  • Aged 16-24
  • Claiming Universal Credit
  • In receipt of no other earned income

Theatre Production Assistant (2 posts available)

The Theatre Production Assistant assists and supports production and event activities. These encompass a wide variety of activities including visiting theatre company productions, internal productions, community engagement creative activities and commercial events. Activities may include involvement in developing project ideas and plans, taking responsibility for coordinating key aspects of project plans, managing administration for events, liaising with artists, supporting project communications, and assisting on projects.

The production assistant establishes and maintains relationships with internal and external contacts including venue contacts, artists, technical and creative service providers. The production assistant plays an essential role in administrative processes that insure successful implementation of the Theatre’s artistic vision.

Routine office duties include assisting with enquiries, filing and distributing paperwork; data entry, research, assists with the creation of schedules and budgets, and distributing production paperwork. Where we can we will tailor this opportunity to meet your interests and skills. This could include for example digital, filming and streaming; or stage management, design and lighting; or perhaps production planning, front of house and box office. Alternatively, your time may be allocated across a number of different areas including:

Filming and Live Streaming, Marketing, Community Engagement, Customer Service & Box Office, Technical Theatre, Production Creation, and Arts General Management.
