Tales of Theatre
Whether you saw a production that stayed with you or took part in a class that changed you, whether you met a new friend in the restaurant or met an old hero at stage door, everyone who has visited or worked in a theatre has their own personal and poignant memories of the theatre.
At a time when theatres are closed, we wanted to create an archival project called Tales Of Theatre in which we gathered stories of people’s experiences of theatre to document and celebrate what theatre means to the community.
These stories were written from Zoom writing workshops led by local playwright and poet James McDermott.
All of the stories will soon be printed in a Tales Of Theatre booklet and in 2021 we will stage a socially distanced live reading of the stories, once our venues can reopen safely.
