Theatre Cares: A Life in Music is an exciting new participatory programme for people living with mild to moderate dementia and their carers. We know that music can improve the wellbeing of people living with dementia and can be a positive shared experience between loved ones.

This project is an exciting collaboration between Musical Keys and Norwich Theatre to explore music in all its forms. We will provide a safe space for people to have fun with experienced practitioners. All workshops will be very relaxed and set to a leisurely paced with a small number of participants to allow for maximum contact with practitioners. Music workshops will be fortnightly over the term. Tea, coffee and biscuits provided!

A Life in Music will be taking place in the Long Bar at Norwich Theatre Royal. This venue has step-free access, accessible toilets and plenty of comfortable seating throughout the space. Background music will be switched off, and external noises will be kept to a minimum. The practitioner will remain the same throughout the course so that participants see the same friendly face each session, allowing them to feel comfortable in the space. Please do let us know if the participant has any additional needs that we can accommodate.

Please feel free to call the Box Office team on 01603 630000 to make a booking, or to discuss the programme in further detail.
