‘I really enjoyed the course and it encouraged me to decide that backstage is a career I want to go into after my A levels.’ – Course Participant

Our Backstage courses are designed to give members the opportunity to be introduced to different professions backstage. They will develop skills such as working within a creative team, problem-solving and making decisions about the design and backstage management of performances. Backstage occurs in weekly sessions during term times and no previous experience is necessary.
On completion of our Backstage courses, participants will be invited to become a Young Backstage Crew member and may be given opportunities to gain experience assisting with Young Company productions.
Participants are expected to make full commitment to the whole course and must be prepared to work as part of a team. This course is facilitated by a team of dedicated theatre practitioners.
