Norwich Theatre is uniquely placed in the region to provide world class entertainment and access to national and international talent. We are proud of our partnerships with dance and theatre professionals, touring dance productions and expert movement practitioners. We firmly believe in the power of dance and movement to tell stories, unlock inherent creativity and strengthen resilience, confidence and sense of self.
The company will participate in a series of workshops and masterclasses exploring narrative storytelling through dance and physical theatre, working with professional touring companies and local dance artists. Participants will meet industry experienced dancers, attend masterclasses and Q&As, as well as film screenings and on-stage dance productions by renowned companies such as Northern Ballet, Ballet Black and Gecko amongst others.
Dance and movement based workshops enable participants to work as a team, improve communication skills and express themselves through physicality. These high energy sessions will explore a range of dance styles and choreographic approaches, in a friendly accessible setting. Each participant will be encouraged to express themselves at their own pace, and all ability and experience levels are welcome. The company is a collaborative and welcoming space for those interested in dance and physical theatre.
