What is it?
Dance Day is an extended dance workshop; encouraging creativity, imagination and confidence through movement. This session will explore ways of being kind to ourselves and others through movement.

What will I get from taking part?
Taking part in dance-based exercises has many mental and physical benefits; it encourages hand-eye coordination, balance and motor skills, increases confidence, resilience and is a great way to let off energy! Each participant will be encouraged to input into the choreography of a group movement piece, as well as the chance to develop a solo or duet. Together the group will produce a short, original piece of dance.

Who will be leading the project?
Dance Day is led by professional dancer and Dance Movement Psychotherapist Rosa Kentwood.

Do I need any particular skills or experience to take part?
You do not need any previous dance experience to take part and enjoy- just your own creativity and a passion to move!

I’m not sure I can afford to take part.
If this is a barrier to taking part, we have bursary spaces available. To find out if you are eligible go to https://norwichtheatre.org/my-theatre/

I have additional needs. What support is available?
If you have any questions, or comments on how we can adapt the session to suit your needs, please get in touch: alex.day@norwichtheatre.org
