Drama Day (Ages 11-14)

What is it?
Drama Day is an extended exploration of theatre making, encouraging creativity, imagination and confidence through performance. Participants will warm up with games and exercises, before delving into the piece, through acting, directing, movement and physical theatre; each participant will be encouraged to input into the outcome, and together the group will produce a short, original piece of theatre.
What will I get from taking part?
Taking part in drama-based exercises encourages young people to work well together, whilst enhancing self-expression, confidence, literacy and language skills – and of course is great fun!
Drama Day is a fun and accessible approach to devising a piece of theatre, with no pressure, and no previous performing experience required. The session is about enjoyment, encouraging creativity and collaboration.
Who will be leading the project?
Drama Day is led by theatre maker and Norwich Theatre creative practitioner Sophie Utting.
Do I need any particular skills or experience to take Part?
You do not need any previous drama experience to take part and enjoy- just your own creativity and a passion to perform!

Activities are dependent on minimum numbers participating, in the event that we need to cancel due to low participant numbers, a full refund will be given. We are unable to offer refunds in other circumstances.
