Drama Day (Ages 11-14)

Close

This event has passed.

Drama Day is an extended drama-based workshop that encourages creativity, imagination and confidence through performance. Using a classic text, this session will explore devising, staging and performing in a fun, supportive and creative environment.

Participants will warm up with drama games and exercises, before delving into the piece. Each participant will be encouraged to input into the outcome, and together the group will produce a short, original piece of theatre. Drama Day is a fun and accessible approach to devising a piece of theatre, with no pressure, and no previous drama experience required. It’s about enjoyment, collaboration and getting creative!

Taking part in drama-based exercises encourages self-expression, improves confidence, literacy and language skills – and of course is great fun!  For the last 10 minutes, parents and carers will be invited into the studio to watch a short, informal sharing.
