Drama Day (Ages 7-10)
25 Oct 09:30
This session will explore devising, staging and performing in a fun, supportive and creative environment.
Participants will warm-up with games and exercises before delving into the piece. Through acting, directing, movement and physical theatre, each participant will be encouraged to input and produce a short, original piece of group theatre.
Drama Day is a fun and accessible approach to devising a piece of theatre, with no pressure, and no previous performing experience required. The session is about enjoyment, encouraging creativity and collaboration.
Taking part in drama-based exercises encourages young people to work well together, whilst enhancing self-expression, confidence, literacy and language skills – and of course is great fun!
This session will include a short break- please bring a drink of water and a snack. In the final 10 minutes, parents and carers will be invited into the theatre to watch a short, informal sharing.
Please get in touch with sam.beal@norwichtheatre.org if you would like to discuss how we can best support your child, or find out more about the session.
