“INK delivered one of the best theatrical experiences of the year…” 5 ***** The Up Coming
This selection of the best short plays from the INK Festival 2022 is thrilling evidence of the variety and depth of writing talent in East Anglia. It is also a celebration of a unique art form. Short plays are like perfectly formed pop tunes. They are by turns funny, alarming, sexy, and profoundly moving. They provide a fantastic platform for the aspiring writer and a novel challenge for auteurs such as Miranda Hart. The pleasure of these gems is that every single one leaves you wanting more.
INK takes enormous pride in being the biggest producer of original short plays in the United Kingdom. We have worked extremely hard since our inception in 2014 to source directors and actors at the top of their game.
Our patrons and campaigning saints include the actress Helen Atkinson Wood, the writer Esther Freud, and the tempestuous performance poet, Luke Wright.
The co-founder and Artistic Director of INK is Julia Sowerbutts. The Associate Directors are Jane Zarins and James Christopher.
