Jenni Murray In Conversation

Select a performance
Join BBC Radio 4’s Woman’s Hour presenter Jenni Murray for an evening of raw and honest conversation on what it’s like to be fat when society dictates that skinny is the norm.
At sixty-four, Jenni Murray decided that she had to make a connection between her weight and health issues before it was too late. You’ll hear Jenni as you’ve never heard her before, sharing her personal relationship with weight and health, and challenging why age-old prejudices still dictate that women must be skinny.
Jenni will dare to tackle weighty topics such as why we overeat? What are the consequences of the obesity epidemic on an overstretched NHS? And, why shouting ‘fat cow’ at a woman isn’t considered a hate crime?
A vital conversation for every person who has ever stepped on to the scales and worried about their weight, Jenni Murray will explore the relationship between psychology, science and size.
There will be a chance to ask Jenni your questions during the audience Q&A section, and Jenni will be signing books after the event.
