Explore physical theatre, gain confidence and engage with your unique creative self.
Freedom of Movement is a 5-week project that will culminate in the telling of a story through movement, gesture and voice. It offers a platform to explore awareness of your physicality in relation to the performance space. Through a series of physical exercises you will begin to discover how a collective body breathes, thinks, feels and moves.
Each workshop will begin with a specific stimulus. This could be a piece of text, an object, an image or a piece of music. Based on body movement, freedom and creativity, this unique piece of ensemble theatre will be influenced by personal experiences and emotions.
No previous experience is necessary, just a willingness to explore physical language.
Recent participant of The Women’s Project feedback:
“I really enjoyed the non-verbal, physical theatre. It was like we were all one. I am amazed at the power of the work shared, even in this development stage.”
