Writing through Motherhood
This event is in the past
“I’m standing at the front like a swan,
Powering underwater;
Yet portraying elegance,
And capability.”
The Swan, by a participant of Writing through Motherhood
The journey of motherhood is a personal one, and creative expression can help us process the beautiful, joyful and challenging stages of being a mum. Writing through Motherhood provides a space for mothers at any stage in their journey to learn from their peers, talk about their experiences and work on an anthology of words and poems inspired by their experience of motherhood.
Led by a poet, writer and mother to a toddler, these sessions will provide you with ideas on how to express yourself through writing. So how about setting aside an hour a week to focus on your creative side and feel the benefits of putting pen to paper?
Learn new skills and form a creative support network. No experience necessary.
“I had a fabulous, enriching experience both times I took part and plan to sign up again… This was a truly safe space to create and share, with just the right level of fun and focus. I produced new work and made new friends too!”
