The Girl and the Dragon | 24 Oct 23

If you’re after a heart-warming show for all the family, this is the one to see! Kick off your half term with this endearing production from The Suitcase Storytelling Company. Follow Toral on her adventure, swimming uncrossable rivers and braving impassable forests, all to fight a terrible dragon! Catch Norfolk local Minnie Wilkinson, who used to host acting workshops in Norwich Theatre Stage Two, starring in this exciting family play.

Olaf Falafel’s Super Stupid Show | 29 Oct 23

Join Olaf Falafel for an hour of eccentric silliness! This family-friendly show is packed with crazy and oozing with mad. There are absurd interactive games that are bound to have all members of the family in stitches of laughter, such as Don’t Look at the Horse and The Cheese of Truth.

Following its extremely well-received Fringe debut, Broadway World described Olaf as “a consummate performer, wildly entertaining, eccentrically wonderful and infectiously joyful”. Just be aware that you will leave feeling much more stupid than you did walking in!

Gecko: An Evening of Story Songs | 12 Nov 23

Having previously shared the stage with the likes of Ed Sheeran and Loyle Carner, Gecko is bringing his playful lyrics and witty stories to Norwich, accompanied by his guitar, of course! You may know him from Life and Rhymes with Benjamin Zephaniah or his viral TikTok videos, but now is your chance to experience his wit and warmth first-hand. This is an ideal show for adults and older children looking for a fun evening out together.

A Very Old Man with Enormous Wings | 18 Nov 23

This deeply unique and visually stunning production has left Fringe-goers spellbound. ‘There will be few children’s shows at this year’s festival that are more intriguing and imagination-stimulating than A Very Old Man with Enormous Wings’

From the imagination of award-winning writer Gabriel Garcia Marquez, this classic Colombian story has been beautifully adapted by Dan Colley. Two storytellers discover something fascinating in the kitchen: a very old man with enormous wings. People flock in to see him, and conspiracies start to spiral, but who is he? This macabre yet comic play is suitable for children and adults alike and is guaranteed to have your imagination running wild.

Matt Forde: Inside No. 10 | 8 Feb 24

Much loved impressionist and radio DJ Matt Forde explores the horror of British politics with his typical dark comedy approach in this fast-paced show. Inside No. 10 has been flooded with 5-star reviews since its run at Edinburgh earlier this year, with One4Review saying, “It was a show that was over way before anyone wanted it to be, and such was the enjoyment.” Don’t miss out, especially if you’re a lover of silly voices and taking the mickey out of people!

Nabil Abulrashid: The Purple Pill | 11 Feb 24

Star of Live at the Apollo, Have I Got News for You and The Big Narstie Show, Nabil Abulrashid has taken to the stage with his unapologetically funny tour of The Purple Pill. Nabil focuses on the ideas of morality and empathy, trying to be a good person whilst remaining a badman. The show is a deep dive into today’s political climate, and there will be tears of laughter and heartache. This comedy performance is like no other and is certainly a force to be reckoned with.
