This week, it is Norwich Pride, and we are celebrating the amazing LGBTQIA+ artists, creatives and stories that are on our stages.

& Juliet | 30 Jul – 3 Aug | Norwich Theatre Royal

& Juliet is a story about love, yes, but it is so much more than that. It is a story about queer joy, second chances and having the courage to live the life you choose. To top it all, it has some iconic pop anthems, including Britney Spears’…Baby One More Time, Katy Perry’s Roar and other chart-toppers that is just hard to resist.

Danny Beard: Straight Expectations | 5 Sep | Norwich Theatre Playhouse

The winner of RuPaul’s Drag Race UK Season 4, Danny Beard, heads to Norwich Theatre Playhouse with their live band. Danny will take you on a musical and comedy journey through the eye of a 6-foot, scouse drag queen.

Sarah Keyworth: My Eyes Are Up Here | 11 Sep & 25 Feb | Norwich Theatre Playhouse

Comedian Sarah Keyworth, who identifies as an “emotionally unstable nonbinary”, talks about turning 30, having top surgery and how their mum is always right in her latest show.

They ask the big questions like What does acceptance look like? From whom does it matter? Is it OK to dance around your family kitchen with your new nipples out?

Christopher Hall – Girl For All Seasons | 24 Sep | Norwich Theatre Playhouse

Christopher, a social media sensation, tells of his life as a ‘boy who’s a bit girly, really. ‘ From unhealthy obsessions with pop princesses, falling in line behind the School Classroom Queen Bees, and gaining life lessons from the cast of ‘Bad Girls’, why wouldn’t everyone strive to be girlier?

Larry Dean: Dodger | 25 Sep | Norwich Theatre Playhouse

Dodger sees Larry Dean contemplate his heroes and his identity. His hero was Elvis, but this year, his thoughts have been all shaken up. Stemming from his granny’s dementia diagnosis, a few things have been put into perspective regarding the people who deserve our respect and why.

Rhys Nicholson: Huge Big Party Congratulations! | 26 Sep | Norwich Theatre Playhouse

Congratulations are in order. Rhys Nicholson is finally married. After years of stand-up shows taking us on the journey of getting engaged, fighting for marriage equality in Australia, planning and then cancelling their wedding because of a global health crisis, being indefinitely betrothed became Rhys’ personality. But in their brand-new show, Rhys is set to publicly untangle themselves and ask the big questions now that their ‘happily ever after’ has begun.

The Squirrels: One More Time | 28 Sep | Norwich Theatre Playhouse

Drag duo The Squirrels are reuniting for another farewell show; well, if Cher can do it, so can they. Back with songs both old and new, as well as their outrageous comedy routines, this is one evening you won’t want to miss.

Sophie Duker: BUT DADDY I LOVE HER | 4 Oct | Norwich Theatre Royal

Sophie Duker is back with her trademark naughtiness. This time arguing that we should all choose silliness over common sense and hot wet fantasies over cold, bleak reality. In this intentionally unhinged hour, delulu is the solulu.

Here You Come Again | 8 – 12 Oct | Norwich Theatre Royal

Kevin has just separated from his long-time boyfriend and is in quarantine in the attic bedroom of his childhood home. Surrounded by precious belongings from his youth, he is reunited with a much-loved old record player and his cherished Dolly albums. With her wit, humour and charm, Dolly teaches him a whole lot about life, love and how to pull yourself up by your bootstraps… even if your bootstraps don’t have rhinestones!

Myra DuBois: Be Well | 16 Oct | Norwich Theatre Playhouse – Sold Out

Be Well is a sardonic side-eye at the Wellness Industrial Complex as Myra continues the tradition of a celebrity who knows best. Myra DuBois lays her healing hands on the masses in this wellness sermon.

Ginger Johnson | 25 – 26 Oct | Norwich Theatre Playhouse

Reigning Queen of RuPaul’s Drag Race UK heads to Norwich Theatre Playhouse. Her first solo show promises to be bursting with stunning looks and cunning stunts, as Ginger asks: how far will one Queen go for a round of applause?

Will Young | 30 Oct | Norwich Theatre Playhouse – Sold Out

To celebrate the new album, Will is embarking on his most intimate tour yet – taking shape as an up close and personal evening of acoustic performances, stories and conversation.
