Oh crumbs! Everybody’s favourite patchwork elephant, Elmer has had a baking blunder! He lovingly crafted a delicious cake to celebrate Elmer Day on 24 May, but wouldn’t you know it, the scrumptious thing has gone on an adventure of its own. We have heard reports that the cake has, scattered into several scrumptious slices hidden all across Norwich and we need your help to find them.
There are pieces of cake in six locations across Norwich. Find and return a slice of Elmer’s cake to the Box Office at Norwich Theatre Royal. You have until 5pm on Sat 31 May to return it to receive your sweet reward: a pair of tickets to The Elmer Adventure at Norwich Theatre Playhouse on Fri 27 Jun at 4pm.

The Elmer Adventure is a joyful jungle adventure and musical adaptation of the much-loved Elmer books by David McKee. The enchanting and colourful world of Elmer is brought to life through songs, storytelling and puppetry by Tall Stories, the company who brought you The Gruffalo and Room on the Broom live on stage. Why not celebrate Elmer’s unique patchwork colours and wear all your colourful clothes when you see the show?

Terms
1. There are 6 pieces of cake hidden around the city on the 24 May – if you find one, return it to Norwich Theatre Royal Box office counter and exchange for 2 free tickets to see The Elmer Adventure on Fri 27 Jun 25 at 4pm.
2. To claim the prize, you must be accompanied by someone 18 or over and will need to present the cake piece with its label still attached to the Box Office counter during opening hours (Mon – Sat 10am – 6pm) and before 17:00 on 31 May 2025.
3. The tickets are non-exchangeable – if you cannot attend, please offer them to someone else.
4. One cake piece/prize per customer.
5. The show is suitable for ages 3+.
