Our Corporate Member Keeler Recruitment recently did just that, holding a Charity Casino Night at Norwich Theatre Royal. Lauren Farley Norwich Theatre’s Business Development Manager spoke to Riva Jervis about the event and the extra magic the Norwich Theatre team provided.
Could you tell me a bit more about Keeler Recruitment and the work you do?
Keeler Recruitment is a Specialist Accountancy & Finance recruitment business committed to serving the Norfolk market. Our team of highly experienced and passionate recruiters pride themselves on being experts in their field. We are focused on delivering first-class customer service with the aim of making connections between candidates and businesses that will enable both to thrive. We are also passionate about supporting the local community and are involved with a number of local groups and charities through sponsorship and fundraising events.
You recently held a casino night here at Norwich Theatre for charity. Can you tell me more about the event?
Our event was a Charity Casino Night in aid of Break. Local businesses worked in teams with the aim of generating as much profit as possible from their initial £2000 of Keeler Cash. The event gave our clients the opportunity to spend time with their colleagues, network with other local businesses and enjoy some healthy competition. And most importantly, all while raising much-needed funds for a fantastic local charity, £4305 to be specific!
Why did you choose to have your event at Norwich Theatre?
There were so many reasons that we chose Norwich Theatre for this event. Not only is the theatre an iconic local building but also a place that represents fun, entertainment and community, all things that we at Keeler are passionate about. These are also key values that we wanted our event to symbolise, so it felt like the perfect match.
Does being at the theatre add extra magic to your event?
Holding the event at the theatre added so much magic to the evening. The location is beautifully presented, and visiting always feels like a special occasion. As such, our clients felt they could dress up and enjoy, what is likely to be, a rare weeknight of glitz and glamour.
How has planning the event with Norwich Theatre been?
Lauren, Laura, Oscar and the rest of the events management team at the theatre were an absolute pleasure to work with. From the initial inception through to the night of the event, we felt that the team were committed to, and equally as passionate about, making this a success. Every request was immediately actioned, and nothing felt too much. The food was incredible, and the catering team was very flexible with the menu to ensure all dietary requirements could be met. We could not have asked for better support.
