Norwich Theatre is launching a book club with a difference! The Anti-social Book Club at Norwich Theatre Playhouse in the Playroom starts on Sunday 7 April between 1–3pm and runs fortnightly.
Escape any pressures of a typical book club and indulge in a leisurely Sunday afternoon of reading at the Anti-social Book Club. This unique gathering allows readers to bring their own choice of book, rather than read a set text.
It is not a completely silent book club, and conversation is allowed. However, unlike a normal book club, there will not be the obligation or pressure to share thoughts and opinions on what you are reading.
The Anti-social Book Club is designed for everyone, from avid readers to those just starting out, from the neurodiverse community to those who find traditional book clubs overwhelming. It’s a space for anyone who simply wants to enjoy the pleasure of reading alongside others in a relaxed environment.

Reading at home can often feel like a solitary hobby, but it doesn’t have to be that way.
