Cinderella’s Junior Ensemble

Norwich Theatre is on the lookout for budding performers to be a part of the Junior Ensemble for Norwich Theatre’s 2025 panto, Cinderella, which, opens at Norwich Theatre Royal on 6 Dec 25 and runs until 4 Jan 26. 

We are seeking 12 enthusiastic young performers aged 10–13 with strong dance and singing skills. Due to the demands of the production, applicants must live within a 30-minute travel time to Norwich Theatre Royal.  

Rehearsals and performances will include commitments during school hours, as well as evenings and weekends. The rehearsal period will start on 17 Nov and run until 5 Dec.

Applications to be part of the Junior Ensemble opens on Wed 23 Jul and close Sun 24 Aug. 

Parents/guardians of applicants are asked to submit their child’s audition on the link below (live between 23 Jul-24 Aug).

This will involve completing a brief application form, uploading a photograph, and the submission of a video recording.

Deputy Stage Manager 2025/2026 production of Cinderella

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Deputy Stage Manager to support the management of rehearsals, pre-production, performances and stage management strike of our Cinderella Pantomime production. This role will attend in all rehearsals and compile the show book, including taking blocking, rehearsal notes, setting lists and running lists. The DSM is responsible for calling the production from the show book that you have compiled as part of the rehearsal process.  

About you

With proven experience as a Deputy Stage Manager previously in a theatre or touring production, including the creation of a prompt copy, you will have overseen running rehearsal rooms and technical systems, and have a working knowledge of the functions and capabilities of production systems. You will have strong team skills and can effectively manage a team. You will also be able to work flexibility, with varied hours as documented the in schedule.

Closing date for applications is Sunday 17th August 2025.

Interviews will be scheduled for week commencing Monday 25th August 2025.

Costume Maker 2025/2026 production of Cinderella

About the role

The main purpose of the role is to assist the Costume Supervisor in the creation of costume and wigs, working in a busy theatre workshop environment. In order to undertake this job successfully, you need to contribute as part of a team, and also work well alone using your own initiative. You should be able to work easily under pressure and meet deadlines. The jobholder must be able to communicate effectively with the wardrobe team. Flexibility regarding hours of work is essential.

Access Performance Providers

Norwich Theatre are seeking to connect with local and national Freelance Providers to deliver a range of Audio Described, Captioned and Signed performances across our three stages.

Due to the nature of this work and delivery, engagement for performances will be as and when Norwich Theatre negotiates an access performance with the show’s producers as well as based on the providers portfolio of work.
