Sun 30 July is International Day of Friendship, a day on which we celebrate and honour our loyal Friends.

We are proud that Norwich Theatre is a place of employment, engagement, enjoyment and entertainment for thousands of people every year. Above all, it is a place for anyone and everyone to have fun.

As a recognised Theatre of Sanctuary, we provide an accessible place of support, safety and hospitality for all communities. But we couldn’t do this without the people who make up these communities, and our Friends play a vital role in this.

On this Friendship Day, we are thanking our Friends for the part they play in our vision to make our creative experiences have wide-reaching positive impact.

As a registered charity, we rely on the generous support of our audiences, members (including our Friends and Supporters), individual donors and charitable foundations, along with our commercial activities such as, our café, bars and restaurant, to help us deliver our vision.

As our way of saying thank you this Friendship Day, for a limited time only, Friends can enjoy exclusive discounts on a host of great shows coming up at Norwich Theatre Royal and Playhouse this autumn.

From as little as £25 a year, our Friends enjoy priority booking, save money on tickets, in our café, restaurant and bars, and access exclusive benefits across all Norwich Theatre venues.

Friends and Supporter Manager Hannah Crouch reflects on the difference our Friends make:

“For over 20 years, our community of Friends has been a huge part of making Norwich Theatre what it is. From attending our brand-new shows to supporting our work in the community, our Friends are our greatest ambassadors. On a day that is, much like the theatre, designed to bring people together and inspire happiness, we couldn’t think of a better time to say thank you to them.”
