On Saturday 8 August, the Norwich Theatre Royal car park will be transformed into an outdoor shopping experience. As an open air market, it will enable shoppers to shop in a safe, outdoor environment.
Organised by The Community Trade Initiative, customers can meet the makers and bakers and sample delicious food from local street kitchens. The market will offer vintage clothing, artisans, bakers, artists, jewellers and many more independent businesses.
A number of a protocols will be in place to ensure the event is safe. Food stalls will be spaced to allow for safe queuing areas. The main area of the market will be directional, with enough space for people to pass easily.
Safety marshalls will monitor and limit the amount of people entering the market and wellness areas, plus hand sanitiser will be available for shoppers to use at the entrance.
Shoppers are also advised to bring their own bags, as vendors will not be supplying them with purchases. Please be aware as many of the stallholders are small home businesses they may not have card machines, so shoppers should bring cash.
