Norfolk legend, Karl Minns (The Nimmo Twins, She Go Looks Back) is taking A Quick Dip in the Yare (AKA 2026) at Norwich Theatre Playhouse between 25-30 August to make sense of the first half of 2026.
Karl will be casting his satirical eye over everything from the local elections, the crumbling bricks of Anglia Square, Nigel Farage’s unexpected appearance at Ipswich Town, tactical trials of Philippe Clement and any other rural shenanigans that crop up between now and August.
Speaking about the show, Karl said: “You’ve all seen the headlines: Norfolk is in dire straits (not the band). There’s changes to the status quo (not the band). Well, if news is a disease – meet the cure. (not the band) Take my hand and together let’s Look East through the chaos of Anglia News. (With occasional stops for an EDP break).
In a show that promises to be as chaotic as a Saturday night down Prince of Wales, Karl will take stock of the year’s most baffling events. Using his trusty PowerPoint, his less-than-trusty jokes and his totally untrustworthy singing voice, he’ll be carving comedy gold out of the Norfolk news cycle. Whether it’s political upheaval or bizarre village-gate scandals, no headline is safe from a “quick dip”.
On Sale dates are as follows:
