We have partnered with Fourth Monkey Actor Training Company to offer young people in Norwich and the wider region the chance to attend a Live Virtual Audition Day on Saturday 27 March. Running from 9.30am-6pm, the full audition day is open to anybody aged 18 years or older on 1 September 2021.
Fourth Monkey are currently the only drama school offering this style of live audition experience, rather than asking applicants to submit pre-recorded self-tapes. The organisation believes this allows students the experience to be seen by an audition panel, despite the extraordinary circumstances we are all currently face.
The audition process is structured to be open, personal and most importantly: enjoyable. Applicants will be assessed on their performance of text, their vocal and physical suitability, as well as their individual drive to train professionally and adhere to the rigours attached to actor training.
Andy Adam, Training and Skills Development Officer at Norwich Theatre said:
“Fourth Monkey do things differently, their innovative and collaborative approach to actor training starts from the very beginning with this inclusive live virtual audition day. The full day audition gives you the opportunity to see and be seen by the audition panel, take part in practical workshops run by professional theatre makers, and work one to one with the panel on your audition speeches. Fourth Monkey have got some revolutionary actor training programmes so be bold, be brave, and sign up for your audition today!”
Applications are direct to Fourth Monkey and therefore will not use up any of a students’ UCAS choices. In line with their determination to make drama school as accessible as possible, applications are free of charge.
