Secrets are spilling out and ghosts are emerging… or are they? Choose what you believe in this record-breaking West End show on its first ever tour. Starring Joe Absolom (A Confession, Doc Martin), Charlene Boyd (Mayflies, River City), Nathaniel Curtis (It’s A Sin, The Witcher) and Louisa Lytton (Eastenders, The Bill), this all-star cast promises to deliver a devilish performance. Snapdragon Cabaret: Hauntingly Ca-boo-ret | Norwich Theatre Stage Two | 28 Oct 23
Indulge in some naughty fun with a frightful night of burlesque, drag and comedy. Hosted by local drag and burlesque artists Deanne Marvellous and The Phoenix, the show is stuffed with hair-raising cabaret performances. Special guests, East Anglian folklore podcast hosts Hallowed Histories, and burlesque performers, Sirens of Tease, will be making an appearance for this truly spellbinding evening.
The Woman in Black | Norwich Theatre Royal | 15 – 20 Jan 24
After an incredible 33 year run in London’s West End, this legendary play is heading to Norwich. Experience the thrill of this blood-curdling favourite, bringing atmosphere, illusion and horror to Norwich Theatre Royal. Arthur Kipps is convinced a curse has been cast over himself and his family by a woman in black, so he collaborates with a sceptical young actor to help tell his story and exorcise his fear.
Macbeth | Norwich Theatre Playhouse | 29 Jan – 1 Feb 24
This is one of Shakespeare’s most ghoulish plays, with sinister ghosts, a coven of witches and blood-thirsty villains. Set in the murky Dark Ages, love, politics, and witchcraft begin to collide. Sword fights dominate the stage and unearthly apparitions, paranoia and prophecies begin plaguing Macbeth’s life. Come along and see one of the grittiest plays of all time brought to life.
And Then There Were None | Norwich Theatre Royal | 30 Jan – 2 Feb 24
It’s the best-selling crime novel of all time. It’s Agatha Christie. It’s an unmissable show. After ten strangers have been lured to a mansion on a solitary island off the coast of Devon, a storm cuts them off from the mainland. Suddenly, the real reason for their presence becomes painfully clear. Come along and see for yourself if they ever leave the island, and most importantly, find out whodunit.
Edward Scissorhands | Norwich Theatre Royal | 16 – 20 Apr 24
Matthew Bourne has brought this Tim Burton classic film to life in an atmospheric ballet production. After an eccentric inventor dies, his creation of an innocent boy with scissors for fingers has been left alone. A kindly townswoman offers him a home with her family, but can Edward find a place in the community with people unable to look past his ghastly appearance?
CLUEDO 2 | Norwich Theatre Royal | 2 – 6 Jul 24
It’s the swinging ‘60s, rock and roll legend Rick Black has bought a new manor and invited a range of close friends for a party; his wife, Emerald Peacock, his manager, Colonel Eugene Mustard, long-time roadie “Professor” Alex Plum, Annabel Scarlett his trusted interior designer and housekeeper Mrs White, who came with the house and who knows all of its secrets. But there is still someone missing… Rick’s former song-writing partner Hal Green. If you love the board game, or just enjoy a hysterical play with murderous twist, you’ll love CLUEDO 2.
