Chosen presented by Rewrites | Norwich Theatre Stage Two | 12 – 13 Nov 24 

A musical about Zombies! I’m in! Chosen is a about Sue, an IT Support Technician in her 60s, who wakes from a coma to discover half the world has been zombified. After accidentally killing the zombies’ prophesied ‘Chosen One’, Sue must assume their identity and save humanity herself. Chosen is a musical in development and presented in concert style, featuring all the key songs sung in an intimate setting. It will be undead-ly good. 

NFF2024: Nosferatu + Live Score by Minima | Norwich Theatre Playhouse |15 Nov 24 

Silent but deadly, this masterpiece from the silent era is accompanied by live music from Minima, which gives the show an eerie, gothic feel…along with the main character being a vampire, of course. Nosferatu paved the way for horror films over the last century, so you’re in for a real neck-biting treat with this show!  

Macbeth | Norwich Theatre Playhouse | 20 – 23 Jan 25 

Witches, ghostly prophecies, and lots of blood – could it get more spine-chilling than that? Come and see this full-scale production of a classic Shakespeare tale. This brilliant performance will stay with you all night till you, too, start screaming ‘out, damned spot! Out, I say!’

The Girl on the Train | Norwich Theatre Royal | 4 – 8 Feb 25  

Come and see the thriller that gripped the world! Starring Giovanna Fletcher and adapted from Paula Hawkins’ novel, this play will grip you until the curtain closes. Rachel becomes a witness as the woman that she has secretly been watching on the train every day suddenly disappears.  

Dracula | Norwich Theatre Playhouse | 13 – 15 Feb 25 

The well-known, blood-sucking vampire from 1897 is coming to Norwich Theatre! Explore the Victorian Gothic world of Transylvania in this timeless thriller about resisting temptation and stopping the enemy from within to take over. Let’s hope he doesn’t get a taste of you while he’s at it… 

Horrible Histories 3D: Awful Egyptians & Terrible Tudors | Norwich Theatre Royal | 26 Feb – 1 Mar 25 

If the other shows are leaving you feeling shaky, then maybe Horrible Histories is more your speed. Come along with your children to see amazing actors and scary 3D special effects to bring historical figures back to life in two shows: Awful Egyptians and Terrible Tudors. Whichever is more to your taste, have some spooky-filled fun learning about the horrible bits of history with your children! 

The Picture of Dorian Gray | Norwich Theatre Stage Two | 9 Mar 25 

This Oscar Wilde adaptation tells the tale of a handsome, young Dorian Gray, who lives life without consequence, however his reflection suffers for this life of moral freedom. Is becoming virtually soulless a good exchange for worldly success and an apparent lack of ageing? Come along and you can decide for yourself.   

Picture You Dead | Norwich Theatre Royal | 1 – 5 Apr 25 

Witness DSI Roy Grace investigates a cold case of murder in the most successful modern-day crime stage franchise since Agatha Christie. Adapted from Peter James’ bestselling novel series and the acclaimed ITV series Grace, this performance will have you on tenterhooks as a couple’s dream of finding a long-lost masterpiece turns into their worst nightmare in a twisted case of murder.  

Ghost Stories | Norwich Theatre Royal | 15 – 19 Apr 25  

Are you brave enough to experience the paranormal? Or are you a sceptic like our main character, Professor Goodman, who sets out to debunk three apparent ghost sitings but finds himself in the deep end of a haunted hotspot. 

2:22 A Ghost Story | Norwich Theatre Royal | 26 – 31 Jan 26  

This is an edge-of-your-seat, supernatural thriller, written by Danny Robins, that promises to be an adrenaline-filled night where secrets emerge and ghosts may or may not appear. Jenny believes her new home is haunted, but her husband Sam isn’t having any of it. They argue with their first dinner guests, so they’re going to stay up… until 2:22… and then they’ll know.
