Let’s Get Digital

Category:

  • Norwich Theatre News

Norwich Theatre’s Digital Stage is one of Norwich Theatre’s five stages, sitting alongside Royal, Playhouse, Stage Two and Beyond. The stage is a streaming platform that gives you access to pre-recorded and live performances on any digital device to enjoy the power of theatre from the comfort of your home.

The platform allows us to work with a broader range of artists and showcase amazing performances you might not ordinarily see. Available for July, we have In Loco Parentis, a production that looks at the experience of young people going into care. The piece combines movement, spoken word, real-life testimonies and a large blackboard that the performers write on and dance around.

No Dogs is a combined audio drama and animation project that explores Jamaican and Irish immigrants shared and contrasting experiences of moving to the UK after World War 2. No Dogs is free and available to stream now. In October, you can watch a new digital performance about the climate catastrophe Can I Live, where Fehinti Balogun asks this urgent question and shares his journey.
