National Symphony Orchestra of Ukraine | Royal | 5 Nov 23 

The National Symphony Orchestra of Ukraine comes to Norwich Theatre Royal as part of its biggest UK tour to date. Music Director Volodymyr Sirenko is joined by pianist Antonii Baryshevskyi, who will play Beethoven’s magnificent Fourth Piano Concerto. The performance will feature Ukrainian composer Boris Lyatosynsky’s symphonic poem. 

 

The King and I | Royal | 14 – 18 Nov 23 

The King and I is the greatest musical from the golden age of musicals – with some of the finest scores ever written, including Whistle a Happy Tune and Shall We Dance. This gloriously lavish production will feature a world-class company of more than 50 West End and Broadway performers and a full-scale orchestra. 

Beauty and the Beast| Royal | 21 – 25 Nov 23 

Northern Ballet brings its signature sparkle to this timeless love story. When a terrifying creature threatens her father, Beauty selflessly leaves her family to live with the Beast in his castle. It is set to a hand-picked score of classical music from Bizet and Debussy, played live by Northern Ballet Sinfonia. With opulent sets and kaleidoscopic costumes, this fairytale ballet is a must-see for audiences of all ages. 

Miloš Karadaglic and Arcangelo Ensemble | Royal | 14 Jan 24 

Get treated to a celebration of Baroque masterpieces by Vivaldi, Marcello, Bach, Pachelbel, Rameau and Couperin with Miloš Karadaglic and Arcangelo Ensemble. 

 

The Best of Frankie Valli – with Gareth Gates | Playhouse | 23 & 24 Jan 24 

A spectacular celebration of timeless music from one of the biggest-selling groups of all time. Gareth Gates joins cast members from the smash-hit Tony Award-winning musical Jersey Boys and other hit West End shows. 

Varna International Ballet | Royal | 8 – 10 Feb 24 

Varna International Ballet returns for a new season in 2024. Accompanied by a live orchestra, dancers will perform a different classical ballet each night. They will take on the fairytale Sleeping Beauty, the greatest romantic ballet Swan Lake and the timeless classic Nutcracker.

The Wizard of Oz | Royal | 27 Feb – 3 Mar 24 

Featuring the iconic original score from the Oscar-winning MGM film including Over The Rainbow, Follow The Yellow Brick Road, and We’re Off To See The Wizard, with additional songs from Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice, this spectacular production of The Wizard of Oz will be a truly magical experience for all the family. 

 

The Big Chris Barber Band | Playhouse |28 Mar 24 

Big Band Jazz doesn’t come much bigger and better than this. Comprising nine of the finest exponents of jazz in the UK, it will be a feast of jazz through blues to Ellington and Miles Davis. The Chris Barber legacy lives on!
