This year, we have twelve amazing kids in our junior ensemble for our pantomime, Cinderella. They will be multi-rolling, from playing village people, mice and beachgoers. These kids are a talented bunch, each sharing the performances between them. Split up into three groups, we have Team Coach, Team Pumpkin and Team Horses – rotating from night to night, making each show different from the next!
In Team Coach, we have Harry, who is returning to Norwich Theatre panto for the fourth time! He is looking forward to performing all the musical dance numbers and would love to play any one of the fairies in Sleeping Beauty. Harry is a true theatre kid, hoping for more dance lessons and theatre tickets for Christmas. Cameron, also in Team Coach, is looking forward to the opportunity to wear costumes and dance on stage with all the rest of the cast. Cameron’s ideal panto character would be Maleficent in Sleeping Beauty. Poppy and Ezzie both have some impressive party tricks that they bring to the Christmas function… Poppy can put her leg behind her ear and Ezzie can do the epic spider breakdancing move. Both girls are extremely excited for this year’s panto and are ready to get on stage!
In Team Pumpkin, we have the talented Honor, who is looking forward to performing in front of a big audience, and loves spending time with family during the Christmas season. Issy is looking forward to the costumes, and her ideal panto character would be to play the cat in Dick Whittington and His Cat. Archie says that Cinderella is one of the best pantos ever and would love to play the dame as his ideal panto character! Benjamin is looking forward to panto this year, because he will be able to perform with everyone else to celebrate the holiday season, and would also want to play a dame. Well maybe we will see Benjamin and Archie playing Wicked Sisters in a future production!
Iris, in Team Horses is ready to take on the stage again, and to meet the cast of panto, to perform with her friends, in front of her family! Jack is ecstatic about this year’s panto, especially the costumes. And if he were to play any character, he would want to be Prince Charming… because he also has a charming personality. This year’s Prince Charming Danny Hatchard might just have a run for his money! Darcey would love to play a good witch or a fairy in future pantos and likes to surprise people during Christmas by singing karaoke. Ray is excited for her first ever panto, and would love to play a fairy or narrate the panto in a future production!
We cannot wait to see how these kids shine this panto season here at Norwich Theatre. Don’t miss these talented individuals in Cinderella this year at Norwich Theatre Royal between 6 Dec – 4 Jan.
