More than 20 shows have just been put on sale at Norwich Theatre. This month’s on sale features some award-winning musicals, not to be missed drama, stunning dance and exciting family fun shows. Shows go on sale to the public the last Friday of the month. 

The sensational line up at Norwich Theatre Royal grows with the new stage phenomenon 2:22 A Ghost Story (10 – 14 Oct). This chilling show has taken the West End by storm and tells the story of Jenny, who believes her new home is haunted. Her husband isn’t having any of it, so they stay up until 2:22. Will you dare to watch it? One of the greatest musicals from the golden age of musicals, The King and I(14 – 18 Nov), heads to the Royal, featuring a beautiful score including Whistle a Happy Tune and Shall We Dance. Don’t miss The Rocky Horror Show(11 – 16 Sep), and you will want to don your ruby slippers when The Wizard of Ozlands in Norwich in in 2024 (27 Feb – 3 Mar 24). 

The Birds and the Bees(1-3 Jun) returns home to Norwich Theatre after its triumphant tour around East Anglia. This time the light-hearted comedy romp about relationships, turkeys and bees stars Helen Lederer(Absolutely Fabulous, Bottom and French & Saunders) and Michael Starke, known and loved from his role as Sinbad in Brookside plus The Royal and Benidorm and countless major leads on stage including Hairspray and Waitress.  

Be dazzled by the dance coming to Norwich Theatre, includingAiley 2 (6-7 Oct)at Norwich Theatre Royal. The popular American modern dance company, combining early-career dancers with emerging choreographers, will bring an exciting rep, including Alvin Ailey’s much-loved Revelations. Ballet Black(20 Oct), a ballet company dedicated to diversifying the ballet industry, will be heading to Norwich Theatre Royal with award-winning choreographers Will Tuckett and Mthuthuzeli November in a double bill of new and original work. The all-male youth dance group Legacy Dance Company UK comes to Norwich Theatre Playhouse with a brand new show that explores the true meaning of Brotherhood (18 Jun) and how having each other’s backs means everything. 

Carlos Acosta CBE, one of the greatest modern-day stars of the dance world, brings his trail-blazing and Olivier Award-nominated Cuban company Acosta Danza to Norwich Theatre Playhouse between 18 – 20 May. Norwich Theatre & Valid Productions presents Acosta Danza Up Close, a breathtaking evening of dance that features a series of solos and duets specially curated by Carlos himself. To mark Acosta Danza’s ongoing special relationship with Norwich Theatre, the opening night of this programme will be hosted and introduced by Carlos Acosta. 

For those in need of a chuckle, Norwich Theatre Playhouse is the place to be with a fantastic line up, including Norfolk favourites The Nimmo Twins(26 Jul – 13 Aug). Catch Jason Bryne(15 Sep)who will explain how he is now half man, half machine. Or why not come and see Jon Richardson’s better half Lucy Beaumont(5 Oct), to take a look at life through her surreal lens. 

Don’t worry your little ones will not miss out withGruffalo’s Child (15 – 26 Nov)at Norwich Theatre Playhouse. Follow the Gruffalo’s Child on her adventurous mission in the adaptation of the much-loved picture book by Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler. Let your imagination run wild with songs, laughs and scary fun for everyone aged 3 to 103.

24 Feb 23 – General Public 

*Friends who joined after June 2022 can claim discounts and priority booking for Theatre Royal, Playhouse and Stage Two shows. 

Signing up for Norwich Theatre’s Friends Scheme will give you access to priority booking for shows across its three venues, allowing you to secure your favourite seats. The entry-level into the scheme costs £25 a year and includes benefits such as priority booking, half-price first-night dramas and discounts on up to four tickets per show, plus a 10% discount off food and drink at Norwich Theatre Royal the Playhouse and Stage Two.
