For the dance mum – Sao Paulo Dance Company | 22 – 23 Mar | Norwich Theatre Royal

Transport your mum to Brazil, its beautiful beaches and the perfect sunshine with São Paulo Dance. Ballet and Latin dance collide for a sleek and sexy performance.

For the WI mum (or granny) – Calendar Girls | 2 – 6 Apr | Norwich Theatre Royal

Is Jam and Jerusalem more her thing? Well, you will have to treat her to a trip to see the Calendar Girls, a story about a group of women in a small Yorkshire Women’s Institute who set out to do an extraordinary thing to raise money for charity.

Be careful. She might get ideas for her next fundraiser!

For the political mum – Rosie Holt: That’s Politainment! | 27 Apr | Norwich Theatre Playhouse

Holding placards, fighting for good causes, can’t believe what the politicians are doing next – if this sounds like your mum, then satirist Rosie Holt is the woman for her.

This political character comedy show looks at the blend of politics and entertainment in today’s public sphere from fellow “politainers” Dorries, Farage and Rees-Mogg. Rosie brings the much needed comic relief to the political trends of the day.

For the mum with big dreams – The Syndicate | 30 Apr – 4 May | Norwich Theatre Royal

Reminisce with us for a moment: it is a Saturday night, and you are in Mum’s living room watching the lottery numbers being drawn. The excitement of which celebrity it will be to press the button, the rapid search for the ticket and your mum praying her numbers will win.

Take her back to those fun Saturday nights with The Syndicate, a new stage play by the legendary Kay Mellor that follows five supermarket employees whose lottery syndicate numbers come in, just as their jobs and livelihoods are under threat.

101 Dalmatians

For the online shopper – Michelle Brasier: Reform | 24 May | Norwich Theatre Playhouse

Has your mum bought something online, and it wasn’t quite what she thought? She is not alone!

This is the true story of an online scam where Michelle buys a Pilates reformer from scammer Jacob, and a unique relationship is formed. This theatrical hour of storytelling and original music has audiences cringing at every naïve exchange between victim and conman and shouting, ‘No! Stop!’ before being swept along for the ride.

For the Dog Mum – 101 Dalmatians – 9 – 13 Jul – Norwich Theatre Royal

Fur-mamas deserve some love too! If she has a penchant for pooches, this canine caper will be a pawesome gift.

When fashionista Cruella de Vil plots to swipe all the Dalmatian puppies in town to create her fabulous new fur coat, there’s trouble ahead for Pongo and Perdi and their litter of adorable, tail-wagging young pups.

Brought to life on stage with spectacular puppetry, show-stopping choreography, witty songs and irresistible puppies, it will be hard not to give it a round of ap-paws.

For the mum who works 9 to 5 – Here You Come Again | 8 – 12 Oct | Norwich Theatre Royal

Put on your matching rhinestone jackets, cowboy hats and boots and bring your mum to a musical celebrating the Queen of country, Dolly Parton’s biggest hits.

This lively and touching new musical tells the story of a diehard fan whose fantasy version of international icon Dolly Parton gets him through trying times. Packed with the iconic songs Jolene, 9 to 5, Islands in the Stream, I Will Always Love You, Here You Come Again, and so many more.
