Music fans delight as Norwich Theatre has some toe-tapping tunes, pop icons, folk music and stunning orchestras from around the world all heading to their stages. 

Lviv National Philharmonic Orchestra of Ukraine | Norwich Theatre Royal | 6 Oct 

This magnificent ensemble is led by the outstanding Ukrainian conductor Theodore Kuchar, witness an exciting programme of your favourite classical music: from Rossini’s Thieving Magpie Overture to Elgar’s Cello Concerto. 

Kirk Field – Acid House Cabaret: Rave New World | Norwich Theatre Playhouse | 29 Oct 

Now is your time to shine … or strobe. In honour of the 35th anniversary of the 1989 acid house hysteria, Kirk Field hosts a ground-breaking show to remember a simpler time of acid house culture – of mischief and mayhem. With a special guest appearance from Danny Rampling, these two will be revealing the real words to 90s dance anthems, playing gameshows with an acid twist, and finishing off with music decided by a mystery wheel.

Ever wondered what an Americana folk duo from Cambridge sound like? Well meet Hannah Sanders and Ben Savage, who have been defying conventions of style, genre and compartmentalisation since 2016. Come and witness their original and innovative music for yourself!

NFF2024: Nosferatu + Live Score by Minima | Norwich Theatre Playhouse | 15 Nov  

If you like vampire stories and dark humour, this show is perfect for you. Come and experience a masterpiece from peak silent era, 1922, which paved the way for horror films for the century that followed. It will send chills down your spine, and the paired music accompaniment of Minima sets an eerie tone which will leave you feeling spooked… 

African Choir of Norfolk | Norwich Theatre Playhouse | 16 Nov 

Experience a taste of African heritage as you are immersed in songs of joy, sorrow, hope and resilience. Let your imagination run wild as you are transported into everyday African life through a performance from a special guest from Cameroon, Obase Aboli.   

Ukulele Orchestra of Great Britain | Norwich Theatre Royal | 24 Nov  

For the lovers of tiny guitars, you can now live your lifelong dream of hearing a whole orchestra of them! The Ukulele Orchestra will be playing new tunes as well as old classics, so it has something for everyone – even rock & roll lovers.

Feeling Christmassy yet? Sing along with James B Partridge – Primary School Assembly Bangers LIVE – to some classic Christmas tunes which will bring you back and flood you with nostalgia. Reminisce on your childhood Christmases; you will leave feeling like an excited kid on Christmas Eve again. Unfortunately, though, you’ll have to wait another 21 days till you can open the presents under the tree!
