We have just announced a series of one night shows for the summer months at Norwich Theatre Royal. From Norfolk’s own Nimmo Twins to sharped tongue actor Miriam Margolyes and fantastic music to get your toes tapping, these shows make a great choice to fill those long summer evenings. 

For one night only, Norfolk’s favourite comedy duo, The Nimmo Twins, will be taking to the Theatre Royal stage to celebrate their comeback and 25 years together. Performing Holt who goes there? on 23 August 2022, Owen Evans and Karl Minns will ring laughs from global catastrophes like the retirement of Stewart White, NCFC and local government. Be prepared for laughs that will keep you chuckling for hours, featuring characters you know and love, such as She Go, The Council, Billy Boy, Anne, Tom Bland, and brand new characters. 

Elton John fans won’t want to miss The Rocket Man – A Tribute to Elton John on 26 June 2022. Watch the amazing live band Jimmy Love, as they takes you down the Yellow Brick Road with two hours of glorious Elton hits. With dazzling costumes, stunning vocals and sensational piano solos, Elton’s life and career are brought to life, live on stage. Expect all the hits, including Saturday Nights Alright (for fighting), Crocodile Rock, I’m Still Standing, and many more. 

Shoulder pads and big hair at the ready as 80s Live comes hurtling onto the stage on 3 July 2022. The biggest 80s party includes hits that you know and love, such as Girls Just Wanna Have Fun, Edge of Heaven, Tainted Love, Love Shack, Livin’ on a Prayer, and The Final Countdown. So bring your jukebox money and get ready to Jitterbug. 

Norwich Theatre Royal celebrates the Queen and King of country music – Dolly Parton and the late great Kenny Rogers in Islands in the Stream on 5 July 2022. This thigh-slapping stage show brings together the beloved glamour and personality of Dolly, along with Kenny’s charisma and energy with hit after hit, including Jolene, Ruby, 9 to 5, Lucille, Here You Come Again, plus the smash hit Islands in the Stream. 

Spend an evening in the company of one of Britain’s favourite (and naughtiest) national treasures, Miriam Margolyes, on 7 July 2022, as she shares stories from her remarkable life. Reliably outrageous and always entertaining, this is a riotous evening full of life and surprises as the actress herself. Those booking in bands A-D include a paperback copy of Miriam’s autobiography This Much Is True. 

An Evening of Burlesque on 8 July 2022 is the ultimate variety show, blending stylish cabaret, comedy, music, circus and burlesque to light up all your senses. With world-class entertainers, prepare for an extravaganza of glitz and glamour! Expect fun, feathers and fabulous costumes.
