A Zimbabwean singer, musician and storyteller, Anna Mudeka, is bringing the story of an iconic South African artist and civil rights activist, Miriam Makeba, to the Playhouse stage on 27 Jan. 

Sleeping Beauty, The Fairy’s Tale, which featured some of the West End’s biggest musical stars, Coronation Street Legend Beverley Callard and the good fairy Joe Tracini, proved to be a festive treat that delighted young and old alike.

On 29 Dec, Sleeping Beauty and the Prince from Norwich Theatre Royal’s pantomime Sleeping Beauty, The Fairy’s Tale, will be taking a break from the stage to visit Norfolk and Norwich Millennium Library for a special reading session. 

We sat down with Will Mugford, who is playing Gilbert Chilvers in the Norfolk and Norwich Operatic Society (NNOS) production Betty Blue Eyes at Norwich Theatre Royal between 23 and 27 January 2024.

On Fri 22 Dec, the cast of Norwich Theatre’s pantomime Sleeping Beauty, The Fairy’s Tale, will head to St Peter Mancroft Church in Norwich to perform readings, sing carols and Christmas songs. 

It is all about variety at the Norwich Theatre Playhouse with everything from street dance and spoken word, drag, drunken Shakespeare and 13 comedians all going on sale.
