On Sun 7 Sep Run Norwich will be hitting the streets once again, marking a decade since the first event that has brought tens of thousands of runners together for the annual race through the city centre. The award-winning 10k is organised by Norwich City FC’s official charity partner, the Community Sports Foundation.

It isn’t just great fun, it’s an opportunity to support charities, while also promoting health and fitness in the local community. As always, it will take runners from all over the UK past beautiful and historic sites, such as Norwich Cathedral, Norwich Castle, The Forum, and it’s all starting right outside our very own Norwich Theatre Royal!

To support the run, Norwich Theatre Royal will be opening its doors from 8am to 1pm to provide delicious refreshments to runners and spectators. Enjoy hot and cold drinks, or carbo-load with a locally sourced baked goods, such as our famous giant scones. Runners can receive a 10% discount at the Café when they present their medal after the race. Remember to get your loyalty card stamped and receive your tenth drink free.

Not only that, but our balconies provide the perfect viewing platform to wave and cheer on the runners! All the balconies will be available with accessible viewing closest to the starting line via our Octagon Lounge. All drinks can be taken away, allowing you to make your way to the cheer zones to show your friends and family support!

“I couldn’t recommend it enough. It’s for absolutely everyone, so don’t be intimidated, give it a go!”, says veteran runner, Nick Taylor, who’s participated in the race ever since 2015, raising £3000 for charity over the years. Last year’s race saw 6,941 finishers, the highest number in event history, but also setting two new course records. We think this year we can top it, so get out there and get involved!
