Norwich Theatre is celebrating another successful pantomime season. The star-studded production of Cinderella, featuring Joe Tracini, Georgia May Foote, Danny Hatchard, Hannah-Jane Fox, Owen Evans, Kenny Moore, and Jeevan Braich, drew around 50,000 visitors to the city.

The five-week run has been estimated to inject £5.3m into the local economy over the festive period. The production’s appeal reached far beyond Norfolk, with audience members travelling from 18 different countries, including the USA, Australia, New Zealand and Singapore, while 21% of attendees experienced the magic of Norwich Theatre for the very first time.

Wendy Ellis, Norwich Theatre Creative Programmes & Audiences Director and lead producer of the pantomime, said: “It has been such a privilege to see this incredible cast bring so much energy to the stage. When families come together to laugh, sing, and share that joy, it reminds us why theatre is so powerful.

“When audiences buy a ticket, they are not just coming to a show; they are investing in joy, community, and creativity. We are a registered charity and receive no regular public funding, so the success of Cinderella directly enables us to bring the transformative power of the arts to those in our community who need it most.”

Cinderella received some great reviews, with the EDP giving the show 5 out of 5 stars. The Guardian described it as “This is a panto that proves as trad as turkey with all the trimmings… but also some jokes so bad they’re brilliant”, and Outline described it as “a non-stop cavalcade of comedy, colour and music.”

In a heartfelt initiative inspired by cast member Jeevan Braich (Dandini), a passionate advocate for fostering and adoption, over 500 tickets were gifted to children in care and their foster families. This was made possible through a partnership with the Norfolk County Council Fostering Service, with a further 2,000 tickets donated to various Norfolk charities.

Meanwhile, the 2026/27 pantomime has been announced as The All New Adventures of Peter Pan (5 Dec 26 – 3 Jan 27). Norwich Theatre is offering an Early Bird Offer of 20% discount on all performances for tickets in Bands A – C booked before 31 Jan. Terms and conditions apply. Prepare for a swashbuckling adventure with Peter Pan, the mischievous boy who refuses  to grow up.
