Our Corporate Community gathered this week alongside some of our Theatre supporters for the final corporate networking event of the year.

Nearly 70 people came together from 28 businesses to celebrate the festive season, network and meet the stars of Norwich Theatre’s pantomime Sleeping Beauty, The Fairy’s Tale, over a mince pie and a glass of wine.

Speaking about the lunch, Lauren Farley, Business Development Manager, said: “It was absolutely fantastic to see the whole corporate community for a festive get-together and thank them for their support throughout the year.”

The panto stars provided the razzmatazz, chatting with guests about the show and how rehearsals were going and giving everyone a little sneak peek of what was to come.

“The panto stars really brought the Christmas spirit to the occasion, and we are lucky to be able to provide such opportunities, as we always strive to find new and exciting ways to engage with our corporate community.”

Featuring as guest speaker for the event was Wendy Ellis, Director of Creative Programmes and Audiences, who discussed getting into the Christmas spirit with the upcoming pantomime: ‘The stories that we create for our stage are very different. Here at Norwich Theatre, we believe in having a heart in the middle of it all and you will see our values of kindness, braveness and inclusivity woven throughout the show. It is a real story of love, albeit not the one you may expect.’

Events like these allow us to get to know our members and sponsors in a relaxed, informal environment, which also doubles as a benefit to them,; providing the networking events throughout the year gives all businesses involved a chance to meet and collaborate with our corporate audience.

Lauren said: “We try to maintain a community feel amongst our members and sponsors, and events like these allow us to get to know everyone on a personal level.”

Throughout the year, the Corporate Community has grown from strength to strength. It is made up of a vast array of businesses that support the arts and the work we doin the community.

Becoming a Corporate Member or Sponsor gives individual businesses an amazing range of benefits, such as complimentary room hires, invitations to exclusive events and discount on hospitality  at Norwich Theatre.
