Norwich Theatre panto star Jeevan Braich has been nominated for Best Newcomer to Pantomime at The Pantomime Awards. The nomination recognises Braich’s standout performance as Dandini in Norwich Theatre’s 2025 pantomime, Cinderella.

Jeevan’s portrayal of Prince Charming’s loyal right-hand man was a highlight of the five-week run, which drew about 50,000 visitors. As an advocate for fostering and adoption, Jeevan inspired a community initiative with Norfolk County Council’s Fostering Service, resulting in over 500 tickets gifted to children in care and their foster families.

Norwich Theatre is one of the few major UK venues to create and produce its own pantomime in-house. As a venue that receives no public funding, the theatre relies on the success of these productions to continue its vital creative community work.

Commenting on the nomination, Stephen Crocker, Chief Executive and Creative Director of Norwich Theatre, said: “We are incredibly proud of Jeevan’s nomination; it is truly deserved. Pantomime is, at its heart, rooted in its community and place, and at Norwich Theatre, we pride ourselves on creating a production that connects deeply with audiences here in the East of England.

“Jeevan embodied this spirit perfectly, capturing our audience’s hearts not just through his performance, but through the generosity he shared off-stage while supporting and promoting fostering and adoption here in Norfolk.”
