It may be quiet in the world of musical theatre, but a major competition is just around the corner. Norwich Theatre has launched the Musical World Cup! 64 of the biggest productions of all time will go head-to-head for YOUR votes, via polls on Twitter and Instagram Stories. The ultimate winner will be crowned your champion!
We asked our followers to nominate their favourite shows to be represented in the competition and we have been inundated with suggestions. It has been tricky selecting just 64… But nevertheless, here are your competitors:
The competition features a wide range of productions, from classic titles such as Cabaret, Les Misérables and The Sound of Music, to modern successes such as The Book of Mormon, Hadestown and Waitress.
Superfans such as the SIX Queendom and the Ozians of Wicked, could propel their favourite production to the top. Will voters take a chance on MAMMA MIA! or will a young, scrappy and hungry show like Hamilton, take their shot?
