What is panto without the fun and festive jokes and traditions? We aren’t too sure either… but we do know that our Cinderella for this year is FULL of them.
We listened to every bit of your feedback from last year and took very close note, and the classic fun of panto is being brought back. And for those who may not be as familiar with panto, don’t you worry, this is your guide to everything to expect walking into the grand ball.
Junior Ensemble
We are very proud of the impressive and triple-threat cast we have this year, from TV stars to stage talents, this is a group for the ages. But we are also proud to announce that we are bringing our children’s ensemble. We have a group of 12 sparkling kids to bring that unbeatable buzz and magic back to the stage once more.
Slosh Scene
And to help with that brilliant, fun energy on stage… we are bringing back the slosh scene. It will be as silly and messy as ever!
For the uninitiated, a slosh scene is a classic piece of panto chaos, where the stage suddenly becomes coated in a gooey, hilariously messy gloop. It’s mayhem and guaranteed to get you laughing.
Packed full of jokes
Joe Tracini, panto favourite, has written this year’s script, and he has been sure to bring back all the best jokes more than ever, so be sure to stock up on your groans and giggles. This will, of course, be assisted by the slapstick comedy – we have doubled down on the chaos.
Audience participation
Panto is ALL about audience participation, so don’t worry, we will not leave you hanging, we might even be MORE encouraging than ever to bring your biggest and best cheers and boos!
Song sheet
And the song sheet is back! This is one of the loudest parts of the show. During the song sheet, a large screen descends, and the entire audience learns a simple, silly song (or two). We need your help singing along, fol-lowing the lyrics, and maybe even throwing in some actions. It’s the ulti-mate communal sing-along.
Cinderella Pantomime is at the Norwich Theatre Royal from 5 Dec – 4 Jan 2026. There is a range of accessible performances available for booking.
We are also bringing back Kids Eat Free at our prelude restaurant – any kid under 12 receives a children’s main course and dessert when accom-panied by an adult paying for a two or three-course meal.
