Norwich Theatre will celebrate Norwich Pride (27 Jul) with an extravaganza of activities throughout the day. Norwich Theatre will open its doors with something for everyone to enjoy both before and after the march. With entertainment welcomed by Norwich’s own Zoe Promiscuous and Pfizer Manelli, the day will be a spectacle of technicolour.

The day will start with a musical-themed Drag Brunch in Norwich Theatre’s in-house restaurant Prelude at 10am. Hosted by showstopping queens Zoe Promiscuous and Pfizer Manelli, who will sashay to your favourite musical smash hits while you indulge in a mouthwatering brunch.

Dishes include bacon and pancakes, the delicious creamy mushrooms and spinach on toasted focaccia and a poached egg, or why not get tempted by Belgian waffles with fried chicken.

The fun and sequins don’t stop there, with the party moving up to the Long Bar from 12 noon with a host of free acts from local drag artists. Expect performances from Zoe Promiscuous, Pfizer Manelli, Stealia Jobs, Raspberry Delight, Kylie M’Hoe, Con A Hart, Cherry Pop, Iyeta, Fizzy, The Duke and Prince Peach.

All of the festivities have been designed and programmed to ensure you also have time to capture the Pride march as it passes the building. The Norwich Theatre Royal balconies offer the perfect vantage point to view the procession. For those with access needs, the balcony near the Octagon Lounge is reserved. After the march, the free acts will resume, so be prepared to dance until you (death) drop.

The bar will serve an amazing array of cocktails with a special offer of two cocktails for £12. Café Royal will also be open all day, serving a range of hot and cold drinks and pride-inspired treats, which are also available to takeaway.

Speaking about the events, Zoe Promiscuous said: “This year’s Norwich Theatre Royal Pride festivities will be bigger and better than ever with a musical brunch inspired by the shows right off the Royal stage, and an opportunity to see some of the very best drag acts our county has to offer.”

Tables for the Drag Brunch must be booked in advance. A £10 deposit is required at the time of booking, with the amount taken off your bill at the end.
