It’s been another busy year for Friends at Norwich Theatre! Our community of Friends has reached an epic of 10,000 Friends, Best Friends, and Gold Friends.

Speaking about this milestone, Hannah Crouch, Friends and Supporters Manager said: “We couldn’t be more grateful to our Friends community. For over 30 years, members of our Friends scheme have been our greatest champions, supporting us in our mission for creative experiences for all on top of enjoying the fantastic array of shows.”

“Today, we want to say thank you to this amazing group of theatre lovers for their support with a World Friendship Day treat.”

In the spirit of friendship our Friends can buy one and get one free on all coffees in Café Royal from Tue 31 Jul to Sat 3 Aug. Simply show your membership card to gift a friend  a coffee on us*.

Friends are the backbone of our theatre this amazing group of people are some of our best supporters. In the last 12 months alone, they purchased 133,397 tickets, with one enthusiastic Friend coming along to an impressive 68 performances.

On average, our Friends visited Norwich Theatre five times last year. The most popular day to visit being Tuesday – probably something to do with our first night half price on most dramas!

Talking about shows, the most popular show last year was Norwich Theatre’s pantomime Sleeping Beauty The Fairy’s Tale. It was followed closely by Jesus Christ Superstar, And Then There Were None, and The King and I.

Hannah commented: “Our Friends not only enjoy the tried-and-tested classics but recognise the importance and excitement of supporting fresh new work across all five of our stages and helping us take our own productions from Norwich Theatre to the world, including Carlos Acosta’s Nutcracker in Havana.”

“From just £25 a year our membership offers great value, and our Friends can take advantage of priority booking to secure their favourite seats in the house, save money and access exclusive benefits. What better time to say thank you to our Friends than on World Friendship Day?” Hannah added.
