Creative Café

Join a fun, welcoming group for curiosity, creativity and friendship – this community meets twice a  month in the Playroom at Norwich Theatre Playhouse.

Try your hand at a range of creative activities – all guided by expert practitioners. Enjoy relaxed, sociable sessions exploring topics including creative writing, singing, movement, crafting, and many more.

Whether you’re a passionate performer, maker or artist, or simply fancy trying something new – these sessions are for you.

Session activity themes:

January- XenArts will be leading an accessible movement-based session, exploring creative movement techniques that help improve balance, strength and self-expression! Any movement activity can be seated or standing, and will be tailored to you.

February: Poppy Stevens will lead an exploration of script-work, from a ‘table read’ of extracts, to creating our own moments of dialogue, using script and creative writing techniques.

March: Poet Helen Vine will lead two sessions using poetry as a freeform vehicle for self-expression and storytelling. Through quick-writes, prompts and writing techniques, you will produce a series of poems of your own.

No previous experience is required for any of the sessions.

Sessions are able to be purchased individually for £10 each, or purchase all six sessions for £50.

To access the bulk booking discount, simply add all eligible sessions to your cart and the discount will be applied at checkout.

Creative Café sessions are relaxed, and suitable for all experience levels and movement abilities. Spaces are accessible step free, and movement activities can be seated, or standing. If you would like to discuss how we can best accommodate you, please get in touch: sam.beal@norwichtheatre.org
