Playing With Masks – Limbik Theatre, in partnership with Norwich Theatre

Be a part of an exciting opportunity to create and perform in mask for Limbik Theatre’s production of Rebel Rabble on Mousehold Heath this Autumn.

This June and July, you will have the opportunity to join free workshops that focus on the energising, bold and playful world of masked performance. These workshops are set up in two phases and help you gain confidence in skills when performing in masks.

Phase one: will teach you fundamental mask performing skills and help develop skills required to perform in a mask as part of an ensemble.

Phase two: This phase is more advanced, showing you how devising techniques for performance can lead to an opportunity to perform in Rebel Rabble.

If you have prior mask experience, it may be possible to just join for Phase two, subject to discussion with Norwich Theatre and Limbik Theatre. All participants completing Phase two will have the opportunity to continue their journey with the company as part of the community cast.

Participants must be 18 or over and have prior experience in either acting or performing in a mask.

Limbik Theatre is a critically-acclaimed Norwich company, supported by Norwich Theatre’s artistic Development Programme. The production company creates new performances that combine technology and live experience.
