This vocal programme designed for teachers and with the new government frameworks in mind aims to equip teachers with a comprehensive repertoire of vocal techniques to support vocal wellbeing and practice. By refining their use of tone, pitch, intonation, expression, word shape, impact, projection, and voice control, this programme enhances staff’s ability to model fluent reading, better engage students with textual materials and facilitate deeper comprehension.
The program directly supports recommendations outlined in the Education Endowment Foundation’s (EEF) “Improving Literacy in Key Stage 2” document, specifically:
– Recommendation 2: Support pupils to develop fluent reading capabilities.
– Recommendation 3: Teach reading comprehension strategies through modelling and supported practice.
