Norwich Theatre Royal

Waitress | 15 – 20 Aug 

Chelsea Halfpenny (9 to 5, BBC’s Casualty, ITV’s Emmerdale) stars as Jenna in the hit musical comedy Waitress. Jenna is an expert pie-maker who dreams of some happiness in her life. However, life gets complicated when a hot new doctor arrives in town. With the support of her workmates Becky and Dawn, Jenna overcomes the challenges she faces and finds that laughter, love and friendship can provide the perfect recipe for happiness. 

The Nimmo Twins: Holt? Who Goes There? | 23 Aug 

For one night only, Norfolk’s favourite comedy duo, Karl Minns and Owen Evans, aka The Nimmo Twins, will be taking to the Theatre Royal stage to celebrate 25 years together in their new show Holt? Who Goes There? The pair have been delighting audiences for years with ridiculously witty sketches, running jokes, and shambling characters. 

Tim Peake: My Journey to Space | 24 Aug – Sold Out 

Tim Peake will be your guide through space, with unprecedented access, breathtaking photographs, and incredible footage. Tim will share his unique insight into what it is like to be an astronaut; from training to launch, spacewalk to re-entry, Tim reveals the secrets, the science and the everyday wonders of how and why humans journey into space. 

Sing-a-Long-a The Greatest Showman | 25 Aug

Get ready for a road trip full of fun adventures. From castles to caves, dragons to dinosaurs and ice creams to muddy puddles – there is something for all of the family and their friends to enjoy, including Miss Rabbit, Mr Bull, Suzy Sheep, Gerald Giraffe and more! 

Les Misérables | 31 – 24 Sep – Limited 

With scenery inspired by the paintings of Victor Hugo, the magnificent score of LES MISÉRABLES includes the songs; ‘I Dreamed a Dream’, ‘On My Own’, ‘Bring Him Home’, ‘One Day More’, ‘Master Of The House’ and many more.

The Nimmo Twins: Holt? Who Goes There? | 3 Aug – 21 Aug – Limited 

In the second of the twenty-fifth anniversary shows, The Nimmo Twins, aka Owen Evans and Karl Minns return with their first brand new show in six years. Featuring She Go, The Council, Billy Boy, Anne, Tom Bland, as well as brand new characters that they’ll name after obscure, thinly populated North Norfolk armpits.

Grab a drink and join us for an evening with Archie Maddocks as he shares how he uses humour to explore life’s BIG issues in his writing and work. This free scriptwriting session will help you hone your scriptwriting skills.
