NORWICH THEATRE ROYAL 

Dreamgirls – 31 May  – 11 Jun 

Straight from the West End, Dreamgirls follows the story of three talented young singers, Effie, Lorrell and Deena, through the ruthless realities of show business in the 1960s. Packed full of songs with spine-tingling vocals, including “And I Am Telling You I’m Not Going” and “Listen”. 

Oti Mabuse: I Am Here – 12 Jun 

Prepare for a night of electrifying choreography as Oti is joined by some of the world’s greatest dancers and the West End’s finest singers and musicians. The show is a whirlwind celebration of Oti’s influences and inspirations. 

Private Peaceful – 14 – 18 Jun 

Eighteen year old Private Tommo Peaceful explores the lengths to which a young soldier will go to fight for what is right. Set against the First World War backdrop, follow this story of courage, devotion, family, and friendship. 

Norwich Theatre will be donating 50p from every ticket sold for Private Peaceful. 

We Will Rock You – 20 – 25 Jun – Limited Availability 

The worldwide smash hit musical by Queen and Ben Elton returns to the UK, delivered in a show that boasts the scale and spectacle that marked the band’s legendary live performances. 

The Rocket Man – A Tribute to Elton – 26 Jun 2022 

Watch the amazing live band and Jimmy Love as they take you down the Yellow Brick Road with two hours of glorious Elton hits. With dazzling costumes, stunning vocals and sensational piano solos to celebrate The Rocket Man himself, Elton John. 

Ladies of Letters – 28 Jun – 2 Jul 2022

Irene, played by Tessa, and Vera, played by Gwyneth, meet at a wedding, under a table, after consuming too much sherry. Over the ensuing years, they form a hilarious, barbed long-distance friendship. Between them, they battle the big issues of the 21st century. From climate change protests to accidental imprisonment, they freely vent their views on their ungrateful children and how to find love at 60. 

NORWICH THEATRE PLAYHOUSE 

A Chorus Line – 31 May – 4 Jun 

This stunner of a show examines one day in the lives of a group of dancers, all vying for a spot in the “chorus line” of a Broadway musical. 

Seann Walsh: Back from the Bed – 10 Jun – Sold Out 

The last leg of Back from the Bed got a lot of standing ovations. Seann will have you laughing as he talks about the past few years and how millions of decent people tragically lost their lives to TikTok. 

Tango Encounters – 16 Jun 

Tango Encounters is pure tango featuring tango dance and music displays, from the golden age of the 1930s to the exquisite and powerful Nuevo Tango of Astor Piazzolla and beyond. 

Stacey Kent – 17 Jun – Sold Out 

The internationally acclaimed, Grammy-nominated vocalist Stacey Kent visits Norwich with her 5-piece band. The show features a beautiful collection of songs, including American Standards, Bossa Nova classics and Chansons.  

Thank You for the Rain – 21 Jun 2022

Thank You for the Rain is a free film screening about one Kenyan farmer who used his camera to document the effects of climate change on his family and his village’s life.  

Ronnie Scott’s All Stars – 23 June 

Ronnie Scott’s Jazz Club returns to Norwich with a new music collection, narration and projected archive images and footage, celebrating Ronnie Scott’s “Soho Songbook”. 

NORWICH THEATRE STAGE TWO 

TAMED – 23 – 25 June 

A dark comedy about how our behaviour, thought, and agency has been tamed by the societies we live in. This is produced by local company FLIGHT and presented as part of the Norwich Theatre’s newly launched Artist Development programme.
