One magical night. Three mysterious ghosts.
The spirit of the season is overflowing in Northern Ballet’s A Christmas Carol.
As the clock strikes midnight join Ebenezer Scrooge on the journey of a lifetime to discover the true meaning of Christmas. Travel with the ghosts of Christmas past, present and future through family firesides, cold winter nights and the promise of a brighter future. A festive feast for the senses, Northern Ballet brings one of the most loved stories of all time to life.
Dickens’ timeless tale is reimagined through dance, music and storytelling which will transport you to Victorian Leeds and leave your heart aglow.
Please note: this performance will be to recorded music.
Audio described performances:
Co-written by former Northern Ballet Premier Dancer Pippa Moore MBE and VocalEyes, Northern Ballet’s audio descriptions offer a unique insight into their productions and bring the performances to life. You will hear live descriptions of the movement, action and drama on stage.
Audio Description ticket holders are encouraged to take part in the free Touch Tour Insight Workshops, taking place before the Audio Described performances. These workshops introduce elements of the production to aid your understanding of the show. You will hear descriptions of the scenery, feel the props and costumes and discover the shapes and quality of the movement from the ballet with the aid of Pippa and Company dancers.
In addition to the Touch Tour Insight Workshop you can hear pre-show notes which describe the set, props and costumes via your headset or audio description device, beginning 15 minutes prior to the performance.
