‘Orchestra of Samples’ – by artist collective Addictive TV featuring special guests.
Described as “ingenious and compelling” by The Times and “beautiful stuff and a fascinating project” by Cerys Matthews on her BBC Radio 6 show, Orchestra of Samples is a musical journey without borders.
For over a decade the artists behind the project filmed improvised sessions with hundreds of musicians around the world, then ingeniously sampled and spliced them together to create new music of extraordinary fusions.
Bringing this special one-off live performance of ‘Orchestra of Samples’ to the Norwich Playhouse, the ethno-sampling mavericks Addictive TV conclude a residency with Norwich School, working with a number of incredibly talented music students for the show.
From Senegal and Kazakhstan to Colombia, India, China and many more, immerse yourself in mesmerising rhythmic dialogues with live musicians on stage and sampled musicians on screen, and discover instruments you never knew existed!
