Drama Day (Ages 7-10)
This event is in the past
Drama Day is an extended drama-based workshop that encourages creativity, imagination and confidence through performance. This session will explore devising, staging and performing in a fun, supportive and creative environment.
Expect a fun and accessible approach to devising a piece of theatre, with no pressure, and no previous drama experience required. The session is about enjoyment, encouraging creativity and collaboration. Participants will take part in drama games and exercises, before delving into the piece. Each participant will be encouraged to input into the outcome, and together the group will produce a short original piece of theatre.
Taking part in drama-based exercises encourages self-expression and group working. It improves confidence, literacy and language skills – and, of course, is great fun! This session will include a short break. In the last 10 minutes, parents and carers will be invited into the studio to watch a short, informal sharing.
