LOVE AND INFORMATION by Caryl Churchill

Someone has a secret.

A scientist dissects a brain.

Someone loves a virtual woman.

A child doesn’t know fear.

Someone is tortured.

Another has a dream.

Exploring our need for connection in a world affected by the speed of information, twenty actors perform a hundred vibrant characters searching for meaning, in a myriad of fractured encounters.

“Churchill suggests, with compassionate urgency, that our insatiable appetite for knowledge needs to be informed by our capacity for love.” Michael Billington | Theatre critic | The Guardian

A myriad of short scenes, a comedy of communication, a drama of depression, a modern manual of sex, memory, and schizophrenia. I’m not quite sure how it happens, but every time Caryl Churchill writes a play, she breaks the mould.  Michael Coveney | Theatre critic | Whatsonstage.com

This production is directed by Jef Hall-Flavin, an award-winning director with 25 years of experience making work all over the world, having held leadership positions at The Shakespeare Theatre Company and the Provincetown Tennessee Williams Theater Festival, among others. Across his distinguished career, he has received praise from the Washington Post, Boston Globe, and the New Zealand Herald.

This amateur production of Love and Information is presented by arrangement with Concord Theatricals Ltd on behalf of Samuel French Ltd www.concordtheatricals.co.uk
