Take a sneak peek behind the scenes of the largest theatre in the region as Norwich Theatre Royal and Stage Two open the doors for a host of free, fun activities and guided tours.
Join a guided tour around the Theatre Royal and Stage Two, or take it at your own pace and walk round unguided. Get the picture perfect selfie as you tread the boards onstage. Explore our auditoria backstage, under the stage and the dressing rooms where stars prepare for shows. Free tours leave from the Foyer throughout the day until 3:30pm.
Audio described and BSL tours are taking place at 11am and 2pm and can be booked via the Box Office on 01603 630 000. Step-free tours are also available on demand, please speak to a member of staff in the foyer.

Our Box Office will be open for you to book tickets for upcoming performances, with extra special one day only discounts available on selected shows.
Join one of our workshop taster sessions for a joyful experience!:
Studio 2, 10:30am -11:15am
Enjoy the many benefits of ballet in a fun and friendly environment. Absolutely no experience is required. Suitable for children aged 2-4 with their adult.
Family Choir ‘Big Sing’
Studio 1, 11:30am – 12:15pm
A family friendly sing-along, with familiar tunes and modern pop classics. Suitable for all ages and experience.
New Voices Choir
Studio 2, 1pm – 1:45pm
An uplifting intergenerational choir for ages 18+. No previous experience is necessary – come and find your voice.
There will be archive and costume displays, plus a chance to try on some extra special costumes, kid’s creative activities, a lucky dip with free pantomime tickets to be won, as well as several photo opportunities. Make sure you tag us @NorwichTheatre!
Café Royal will also be open throughout the day, serving a selection of paninis, wraps, salads, sweet treats, and hot and cold drinks.
Running time: 10am - 4pm
Drop in throughout the day. Admission and all activities are completely free!
